Starting tracking on a new category - a sort of sentimental one for the warm, fuzzy moments on the show, that are so few and far between. I'm unsure if it has good competitive use in the fantasy game, but I wanted to start tracking it from a stats and rewatching for the feels perspective.
Examples from this season might include:

If we did want to adapt this into a category for competitive use... how many points should it count for, and what kind of criteria should it have. Something like 5 or 10pts? And all of the characters involved in the exchange would get it (i.e. Podrick and Brienne get equal points).
I'm not sure about the criteria, almost definitionally this is a gut feeling type of category. But I do think the bar should be kept high to avoid dilution, and there should be a sort of... "pureness" to the warm fuzzies? For example, I don't know that the Sansa-Bran reunion fits here - in a sense it's a happy moment we've been waiting for, but it's also heavily tinged with this feeling that Bran has been lobotomized and will never be the same again. There isn't a nice closure to the scene, it's actually opening up a future hurdle/plot drama we'll need to keep dealing with as viewers.
Also would sad feels count in this category? E.g. Arya and Nymeria's reunion. -nyan

There's also some nice callbacks and references, that perhaps could be a more minor subcategory of this. Examples like:
Tyrion quoting Bronn in S7E3: "Give me ten good men and I'll impregnate the bitch."
Brienne asking Arya who taught her how to swordfight: "No One." (should have said SYRIO FOREL THE FIRST SWORD OF BRAAVOS - C'MON!) -nyan

Based off how other events are scored i think 10 points would be way too high for a warm fuzzy moment. Anything more than 5 to me would be excessive. -hindsight44

Not a big fan of this category at all, especially not for 10 points. Regarding the callback lines, there are points to be had in the funny lunes category. We can have the funny bar set lower for callbacks and just throw it in that category. I think Tyrion already got points for that last episode. Another example is Davos correcting Jon with "fewer." Withot context, that line probably does not pass the funny bar, but as a callback and an obvious nod from the writers to a fan-favorite Stannis line, it can be enough -hkeseyan

I like the two submissions in the starting post, but think that the others suggested would open the door for too many gray area events, don't you think? Same for sad moments: I think there are too many and people respond to or feel them differently. I'd also support that Sansa's reunions with Bran and Arya both shouldn't count here because they don't have a comforting warm closing, as nyan mentioned above. It shouldn't only be like one moment, one hug, whatever, but require a little more context, be more elaborate or something like this :) -Lem Lemoncake

But the Sansa arya bran scene does have a warming ending. Its the three of them walking thrkugh Winterfell together, its actually so warming it makes Pod say to Brienne 'you should be proud.' -hindsight44

Yeah @Lem that is my thought. It shouldn't be for small forgettable things, it's the big moments that viewers have been waiting for for years, which was my initial hunch for giving it as many as 10 pts. These events I think are as rare as Named Kills. -nyan

It's not fair to Roto scorers to introduce this as a new category. That HEAVILY influences drafting strategy, a lot more than adding a special ever, ever will. Also, do we want to add this new category on par with such Game of Thrones staples as killing, drinking, nudity, and politics? I really do not think it is justified. -hkeseyan

If it is introduced at all it would purely be as an opt-in option per league. You are probably right that the events here would be very sparse compared to other categories (though probably ramping up as the series ends). -nyan

@hkeysan how are you able to compare this new category vs special changes if we havent even assigned a point value to the category?
Ebrose was retroactivley given 24 points off of ONE special change and yet that had no draft value change according to you. So if 24 points had no draft value change how many points constitutes draft value changing "heavily"? 4-5times that amount? If so please point out to me a character in this season who has cumulated enough fuzzy moments points that their draft value has heavily changed in comparison to Ebroses 24 not effecting draft value at all.
@nyan I think 10would be steep. If it were strictly for things we have waited years for then i could see that. But no one has been waitong years for Pod to tell Brienne 'im proud of you.' Its still a heart warming moment, just not rare so i think it should count for 5 points or less. -hindsight44

@hindsight44 it doesn't matter the point value for Roto leagues, it's a new category, and Roto tallies category wins. introducing a whole new category completely changes draft strategy entirely. it's not the same thing as changing the quantity of points awarded in an existing category. -hkeseyan

@hkeysan same priciple. Ebrose had most special points ep3 and tied for most ep1 and that was off of one change so how can you say it doesnt effect draft value? -hindsight44

@hindsight44 draft strategy for the entire draft, not draft value for one character. if each category is now 1/8th of the categories instead of 1/7th, then characters that are only good for one category are diminished even further, while characters that would earn points for this category are vaulted way up. this affects almost every character's projected draft spot, either in a positive or negative way, not just one character. also, even if we knew Ebrose's special beforehand, we wouldn't even know what it does to his value because we hadn't seen him do anything yet, so his draft value with no special and his draft value with a special that we know nothing about are equivalent - they are both down to speculation of a character we don't know about.
anyway, I don't play in a Roto league, and even if I did, if an alternate ruleset is allowed to discount this category, I am fine with that. however, if I did play in a Roto league, I would definitely be displeased with a new category being added halfway into the season -hkeseyan

Lol okay, I think if we're still working through debates on a supposedly black and white category like Kills we're probably not ready to introduce another Politics-type category that is ripe for endless debate. So don't spend too much energy thinking on this one. -nyan
