This is a very fair question. Traditionally for battles and gaining a castle, it's been attributed to only the commander (else you could start arguing that every individual soldier on the winning side gets to double up on those points). But having the entire army as a group draftable is something new this season. I feel like this could go either way, though it's a little weaker since we didn't see any on-screen wights in action. -nyan

Its a joke that the night king only gets 3 points for reanimating an entire army when Arya scores so many points for destroying that same army! I picked him as a first choice assuming that raising the dead would score points. He should have been a top 5 scorer and yet after this mess he probably isnt even in the top 30! I'm actually more sympathetic from the scorekeeper perspective that the character description may have misled early drafters. But that ship has sort of sailed because there's no clean solution the site can provide with the later drafting leagues (and there are more of them).

From a personal, not-scorekeeper perspective, I feel like it's deserved for the Night King ended up being a garbage character and all owners (including myself in some leagues) should deal with the reality of it. He did nothing with Viserion, he made ONE kill personally, he didn't capture Winterfell, and he had maybe 10 minutes total of screentime the entire season. That's like barely a mid-tier character.

There were plenty of avenues given for Night King to earn points, he just didn't do any of those. In contrast, Wight Army (mostly) showed up, and Wight Giants showed up. Other characters like Viserion and all the White Walkers also did not, and got little/no points.

Raising a bunch of random wights is not all that interesting of a move - it was cool the first time in Hardhome and pretty much expected this season. And the Night King got 12 points out of this Special with the army in general and the named characters that woke back up. -nyan

This one didn't seem to get a lot of support but I'll add it actually. @jedjackoway that's a very good line of thought about new proposals, and generally it doesn't feel worthy to give points when characters are not even there (this is why the "references to..." Specials generally don't count if the characters aren't in the scene).

In this case my feeling is that this would be a good stat to count if there were generally a "Team White Walkers" draftable group (like team defenses for NFL fantasy). With the lack of characters, I think the Night King was drafted by many people as a stand-in for that. Considering adding a category for "funny moments", that would apply to the Drogon/Jon interaction as well. The problem I'm struggling with is how to properly reward vs just throwing out free points to everybody who shows up in a scene. The funny line gives a score to Tormund who is the one delivering the payoff, it doesn't feel equitable that Edd and especially Beric are getting points just for being there. -nyan

What would be great is if we could come up with the scoring rubric for who gets points in a "funny scene" so there's a consistent guideline for future episodes. Drogon, Jon, Edd, Tormund feel like the deserving characthers here. This is also something I'd nudge towards the Feels category. -nyan
