Personally I'm a bit in agreement with Alice from the original thread... the damage seems a little weak even for the "minor" subcategory. "Major" is reserved for permanent injuries (e.g. losing a hand), and most of the examples of minor injury have been more severe... Arya got the sticks knocked out of her by the Waif for example. Should we require some visible signs of injury for the minor category (visible bleeding or bruising)? -nyan

There's a lot of other good discussion around bigger wholesale changes to the rule. As I said before, it's too unfair to existing players who made draft decisions based on rules at the beginning of the season. We'll incorporate these suggestions into a new ruleset, which league admins will be able to opt into. Pretty retarded that she gets 2 points less for bringing, arguably, the most important character in the show back from the dead than Thyrion gets for filling his glass with wine.
As for the people that "made draft decisions based on rules at the beginning", I think these people would be much more supportive of awarding over 3 points to Melisandre for her mitzvah than to awarding some weak prince 99 points for walking around. -jshragie

I would say survival in that circumstance is evidence of a convincing argument. She had just confessed to murder yet sh's being set free. We'd have to look at the severity of the crime. If you were accused of murder in front of the Sheriff and you confess, but then argue of your use in the world and your spared the penalty of murder, I'd say your argument was convincing. Jon seals the deal on this one when he threatens that he'll "have her hanged for murder" if she returns. That means he's knowingly releasing a murderer. -mg.flanigan11

With all that we know about Jon Snow, I don't think that there was any doubt that he would have had her killed had she not convinced him otherwise. He executed Janos Slynt for disobeying a direct order from the Lord Commander. Considering Melisandre admitted to burning an innocent girl alive, there is no way his default decision wouldn't have been to kill her. But she managed to convince him to not kill her, so I think she should definitely be rewarded points-wise for still being alive even if she was exiled. I don't think we have a prescedent that a character needs to get everything they're arguing for to get the points, so I think successfully convincing Jon to let her live is good enough for points -cfitzgerald

Adding it for now, but we'll see if it opens up a bad can of worms. The spirit of the category is to reward the really good moments written into the show that illicit a solid reaction from the viewer. Insults that make you go "ooh what a burn", threats that you make gulp in sympathy with the target, or funny lines that make you actually laugh. I don't doubt that we can find a handful of weird faces if we're looking really hard for them, but I don't think there are many that were good enough to spark an actual reaction from the audience, and this definitely seemed like one.

That said, everyone's laugh-meter is calibrated to a different level, so if facial expressions and small vocal ticks end up having a much higher variability of opinion vs the spoken lines, we'll revisit and maybe revoke this one. -nyan

Hopefully this will become clearer when I can make a detailed breakdown for each scoring event. The sex category gets 1 pt EACH for: sex itself (incl. implied), each boob, butts, frontal nudity. The criteria for each category is different, and there is some balance in mind when deciding how strict they are. "Cups on the table" would be a close equivalent to "making out in a private room", but as @Tose says we would start giving away way too many wine points (these wine points would also feel "cheap" compared to characters who are doing actual on-screen drinking). There was actually a last-minute change to clarify Jorah's special a bit - the old text was "Daneerys leads him on", and it's now "gets friendzoned". Maybe this is getting a little nitty-gritty into friendzones from an veteran friendzoner, but I thought of this as more of a straight insult about Jorah's age/stamina.
